FINFROCK served as architect of record, structural engineer, design-build contractor, and parking consultant for AdventHealth.

Background

Due to FINFROCK acting as a single point of contact, they were able to provide AdventHeath a fixed pricing that was essential for their development requirements at their Orlando facility. FINFROCK created an extension plan for the existing garage, which had just 1,252 stalls when it first opened. This concept addressed the stakeholders’ aesthetic demands while making room for an energy-efficient solar system. The project’s scheduling and financial requirements were fully satisfied by FINFROCK, who also delivered a construction system with few disruptions to current campus activities.

AdventHealth is committed to enhancing environmental sustainability throughout our health system in Central Florida.

With the addition of 1,800 additional solar panels, the hospital’s parking structure at McRae Avenue, between Princeton and Rollins streets, should provide around 1.3 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. The health care institution expects to save more than $4.6 million in energy expenditures while energizing critical systems within its main campus with the addition of a 850-kW solar carport atop of the McRae parking garage. The solar array owned by AdventHealth is the most powerful on-site solar installation for a healthcare facility in Central Florida and the biggest solar project located entirely inside the boundaries of Orlando.
